Question
Gary,

I would like to know what I can do when I have photos on my OLympus Camedia C-750 xD Picture Card and do to some glitch the other day when the batteries were very low (recharged now) whenever I try to download onto my PC via the card directly or via a cable, I get messages telling me the card is not formatted and needs to be.  The next message reminds me that formatting will cause all data (photos) will be lost during the formatting phase.  Is there a way to rescue these photos or some way to overide the format request?

Thanks for your assistance,

Ardeis

Answer
Try a card reader or someone else camera. Then let me know if that allows you to get the pics. Of course have a method of storing them ready in case the pics are available.
#2 Take the card to a photo shop at your local drug store, see if they can pull them up.
#3 Try burning them to a cd from a friends card reader that can be connected to a computer, PC or Mac.
Good Luck
