QUESTION: Hi Again,

Sorry for not putting those details. No I don't have the ac adapter, nor do I have another battery to try. The camera is about 4-5 years old. I also forgot to say That I had just finished downloading pictures to my PC, and then the camera just went off prompting Windows to send a message saying the device was not available anymore. Could it be a virus attack?

thanks
Ray

Answer
My opinion it is a power issue, checking on Ebay I found adaptors from around $2.00 plus shipping and up. It may be worth a try. Might be time for a new camera. Sorry Ray.

Thanks for the update. Great basic fix too. Thanks for letting us all know. This comment was added after Ray fixed his camera by powering off for 24 hrs. Great job!
