Question
I recently purchased a lot of lenses that were to fit my nikon. One lense does not fit my nikon and does not fit my canon. Is there a chart somewhere that would help me identify this lens so i can sell it to someone who could use it. i am including all the info on the lens but so far i have not found anything to help.
Sigma UC Zoom 28-70mm 1:3.5-4.5
Multi-coated Made in Japan
52mm filter
there is a number 1089115 ser#?

Answer
Bruce,

I've never seen a chart that would help ID a lens.  I might be able to tell if I could see a picture of the lens mount.  Another way to tell: if the lens has a "rear" lens cap there will usually be a letter designation printed on it.

If you want to send a picture of the mount, send it to onewirealpha@yahoo.com

Expertise

I can answer questions about point and shoots and 35mm SLR`s from the 1960s to present. I can also handle most questions on digital cameras from "camera" makers, like Nikon, Olympus, Canon, Sony, etc. Though usually I`m not too familiar with the driver interface, as 3rd party devices for download are more efficient. Sorry, but I can no longer answer questions about the value of old cameras.
