Question
I recharged my battery on my Kodak easyshare camera DX6490 upon putting the battery back in the camera I turned it on and the mode blinks and the LCD screen shows and error message of error L-02... do you have any idea what this could be? thanks

Answer
On a forum I found about kodak error messages, they said the error was probably because of a problem with the lens.  Kodak service suggested turning the camera off and removing the battery for about 10 minutes. Also remove the memory card.  Then reinstall the battery (leave the card our) and turn the camera back on.  If the error returns, the camera will have to be sent for service.  If the error only returns when the card is installed, it is probably a bad card.  Of all the people who seemed to have this problem, not one I could find was able to fix it themselves. If the camera is not still under warranty, it is not worth the price of repair.

Expertise

I can answer questions about point and shoots and 35mm SLR`s from the 1960s to present. I can also handle most questions on digital cameras from "camera" makers, like Nikon, Olympus, Canon, Sony, etc. Though usually I`m not too familiar with the driver interface, as 3rd party devices for download are more efficient. Sorry, but I can no longer answer questions about the value of old cameras.
