Question
Hello John
I bought a new nikon d100 digital camera a few weeks ago.   I like it a lot but have a question.    I always run auto fit on the prints after I save them to my Program.   Auto fix always enproves the photo,   Sometimes  they are a littel dark or shadows before I use it.

Is there some way to set the camera for a better metor reading.

I also have a nikon f5 film camera which I  really enjoy using and miss the fact that the new camera can't do double exp  I hope film will be here for many years yet

Answer
Johnny,

Well, you didn't tell me how you have the camera set now, so I can't tell you if there is anything wrong with the way you are shooting.  But the way you ask your question leads me to believe that you may need to learn a little about the basics and a little more about how to read a meter.

Also, you can still do double exposures.  Now, instead of doing them in the camera you do them on the computer.  Use a layer based program like Adobe Photoshop to composit your double exposures.  You'll get much better results, and more control that way.

Expertise

I can answer questions about point and shoots and 35mm SLR`s from the 1960s to present. I can also handle most questions on digital cameras from "camera" makers, like Nikon, Olympus, Canon, Sony, etc. Though usually I`m not too familiar with the driver interface, as 3rd party devices for download are more efficient. Sorry, but I can no longer answer questions about the value of old cameras.
