Question
I have a Quantaray QDC 900WA flash for my Canon digital rebel and am having
trouble bumping up the flash for lower light settings.  Can I do this in the TTL
mode, or do I need to switch to manual?  If I use manual setting, can I bump  up
the flash?  I'm shooting weddings/receptions.  Thank you!

Answer
You can't do it in full auto (green mode or any of the scene modes).  But you can do it in Program.  You need to set flash exposure compensation.  I've never seen the flash you have, but most higher-end strobes allow you to do it on the flash itself.  You should also be able to do it on the body.  I don't have a rebel in front of me but I will check how you do it when I get to work tomorrow.

Expertise

I can answer questions about point and shoots and 35mm SLR`s from the 1960s to present. I can also handle most questions on digital cameras from "camera" makers, like Nikon, Olympus, Canon, Sony, etc. Though usually I`m not too familiar with the driver interface, as 3rd party devices for download are more efficient. Sorry, but I can no longer answer questions about the value of old cameras.
