Question
I have a Wollensak Stereo 10 that looks like it is great condition, and I was wondering what the value would be if it works, and if it doesn't work?  It is in it's original leather case.  How would I find out if it works?

Thanks in advance for the information.

Answer
Jamie,
Hello.  Well, you got me.  I know next to nothing about stereo cameras.  I did a google search (as I'm sure you did as well) and could only find a few listings about value.  The lowest value I found associated with it was $680 and I found one on eBay listed at over $1000.  I found some specs on the camera and learned that it is a mechanical camera, so you should be able to test the shutter by cocking it and tripping the shutter with the film door open while looking thru the lens from the back.  If you see it open and close (while looking at a light) it probably works.  You would need to run a test roll to see if the shutterspeeds are accurate.  Take it to a camera shop and see if they can make anything of it.

Expertise

I can answer questions about point and shoots and 35mm SLR`s from the 1960s to present. I can also handle most questions on digital cameras from "camera" makers, like Nikon, Olympus, Canon, Sony, etc. Though usually I`m not too familiar with the driver interface, as 3rd party devices for download are more efficient. Sorry, but I can no longer answer questions about the value of old cameras.
