Question
hi,
i want to buy another  digital camera soon, i have a hawking which i paid $150  us currency in a local store in my country( it takes the most horrible pictures); but now i have decided to do  alot of research and then buy a digital camera . through my  research i have found canon cameras to be the best( but i already favoured canon before checking anything out )  any way i   found  canon's powershot a70 is a good deal for my money, powershot a80 1 one more megapixel than a70 with little other improvements,   it has the same small Lcd which i do not mind that much, but also the LCD can flip out anyway  u want it to.  could u compare the a70 against the a75 for me. also a75 against a80. which is worth buying

a75 with a larger LCD  than A80

a80 with with 1 more megapixel   than a75

a75 with  more shooting modes

one more thing ,if you know a better digital camera please mention this to me , i am willing to pay up to   400 for a digital camera

PS the camera is for family use ( mostly portraits , group photos   and maybe  some pictures from touring in the forest and vacations on the beach

Answer
Max,

You've really done all the comparison yourself.  There really isn't anything left for me to say.  You've listed all the differences but one.  (The A75 has a new quick print/upload button)  I can't tell you which is worth buying....  They are so close it makes little real difference.  I will say that unless you are seeing the A70 at a very low price, I'd ignore it because the 75 is the replacement for the 70.

My favorite camera for under $400 is the Nikon 4300.  I feel they give you a better lens for the price.

Expertise

I can answer questions about point and shoots and 35mm SLR`s from the 1960s to present. I can also handle most questions on digital cameras from "camera" makers, like Nikon, Olympus, Canon, Sony, etc. Though usually I`m not too familiar with the driver interface, as 3rd party devices for download are more efficient. Sorry, but I can no longer answer questions about the value of old cameras.
