Answer
Gordon,

If I understand your question....  you can't see anything when you look thru the eye-level finder on your S2IS.  You need to turn the screen so that it faces the body of the camera and close it all the way.  That is supposed to enable the little LCD in the finder.  You can also hit the display button (disp) on the bottom right hand side of the back of the camera.  You may have to hit it more than once to cycle the mini LCD on.  If that doesn't work, your camera is broken.

Expertise

I can answer questions about point and shoots and 35mm SLR`s from the 1960s to present. I can also handle most questions on digital cameras from "camera" makers, like Nikon, Olympus, Canon, Sony, etc. Though usually I`m not too familiar with the driver interface, as 3rd party devices for download are more efficient. Sorry, but I can no longer answer questions about the value of old cameras.
