Cameras/emailing, printing digital images

Question
Just purchased an olympus digital and have no problem taking photos. They provide basic software with the camera so I transferred images using the software. When I try to print the images using my HP deskjet 895ce, I get red-tinted prints. I would like to know how to print out with the true colors and also how do I email the images to family, friends.  Can you help?

Answer
Dave,

There are any number of reasons why you could be getting off color prints.  It could be your printer settings, camera settings or monitor settings (if you are editing).  You might even have a bad printer or camera.  You need to figure out where the problem lies before you can begin to correct it.

As for email.....   that really has nothing to do with the camera itself.  How you email photos depends entirely on what email software you use.  For example, I usually use outlook express.  And I simply click the attach button (which looks like a paper-clip).  Then navigate to the photo I want to send and attach it.

Expertise

I can answer questions about point and shoots and 35mm SLR`s from the 1960s to present. I can also handle most questions on digital cameras from "camera" makers, like Nikon, Olympus, Canon, Sony, etc. Though usually I`m not too familiar with the driver interface, as 3rd party devices for download are more efficient. Sorry, but I can no longer answer questions about the value of old cameras.

I'm an "expert" under photography. I've many years experience in photo retail.John and Chris
