Question
I have a minolta QTsi Maxxum,  this camera is fully automatic.  I can only change the mode for the shot.  Using the sports mode and a telephoto lens (which is a minolta 75-300 AF zoom) and a tripod, I turn off the flash because we are to far away for it to lite the subject.  The film is 800 speed,  the pictures were still blurry and grainy and to much light.  How can I take a better picture when everything is auto, you see nothing in the viewfinder except the autofocus.
The camera takes excellence action outside.
thanks for you help.

Answer
Sorry, but you are doing everything right.  There simply isn't enough light to get a fast shutterspeed.  That's why you are getting blur.  The grain is because of the high speed film and probable underexposure.  The only thing that would help would be a brigter lens..... which is very expensive.

Expertise

I can answer questions about point and shoots and 35mm SLR`s from the 1960s to present. I can also handle most questions on digital cameras from "camera" makers, like Nikon, Olympus, Canon, Sony, etc. Though usually I`m not too familiar with the driver interface, as 3rd party devices for download are more efficient. Sorry, but I can no longer answer questions about the value of old cameras.
