Question I inherited this camera No 128347 with a brown leather case. Do you know anything about it?
Answer This answer is from another expert named David Silver: According to the serial number, you have a Leica made by Leitz of Germany in 1950's. This is a VERY common camera, over 180,000 were sold from 1950 to 1956, but it's a very fine piece of machinery when found in top working condition. A truly excellent example, with its proper normal lens (such as the Summitar 5cm f2) should sell for around $350 these days.
this answer is from David Silver another expert here at Expert.Com, My thanks to David Silver for already answering this question for someone else in his forum.
