Question
Our small community museum recently received some papers belonging to a Canadian private in WW I. We want to find out more about him. Can you recommend some resources we could use to do this?

Thanks for any help you can give

Answer
Hi Barrie:

Probably the best source of info for individual soldiers is the Veterans Affairs department. Especially if you have his serial number and proof of death. ( they won't relase info from their records unlease the individual asks for it or you have proof of death)

Good luck
