There is NO requirement to show you the reading. You are speeding because the officer says you are. It's also a safety hazard to have you running around roadside to look at the radar unit.

Units are only calibrated rarely, but checked for accuracy every shift with tuning forks. The officer only has to say that he was satisfied it was functioning properly at the time.
