hey i was wondering if you could help me answer this question
i have a pretty bad driving record something like 6-8 20k over speeding tickets i beleive so my insurance went up too $778 month this understand and i know it will go down after 3 years from every ticket which should be coming soon since i havent had a ticket in over a year but when my dad went to get insurance they told him there is new law that since i live at the same adress that for him to get insurance it is that high as well i just find this really hard to beleive because i was never under is insurance and everything was under my name so i do not know how it could possibly affect him and if this new law is true  that is just absolutely crazy.
so hopefully you can help answer this question and i am praying that it is false

Not sure about this New Law ..
But in Ontario certainly the practice of all insurance companies is that all persons living at the address related to the vehicle owner that are of driving age will be factored into the rates.
They assume that if you are of driving age there is a good chance that you may drive the vehicle being insured.
You father should shop around and try to get a better rate.
