Question
Good day,
We have a vehicle that someone asked us to store on our property 10+ years ago. It was susposed to be for a short period of time and we had asked him to remove it several times. The gentleman has since moved away and has not contacted us in 5 years. The vehicle is still there. When can we consider this vehicle abandoned and sell it? How would someone then register this vehicle if they wish to?
We are in alberta.

Answer
As my profile states I only deal with Ontario issues, however I would suggest you contact your local Police and or the Provinces Transport ministry to get the answer on disposing of an abandoned car.
It may be that the only recourse is to have it towed by the police to their pound.
