Question
I am an American citzen in the state of NY and I recently (about 3 weeks go) got a ticket from a DWI check point for having a radar warning device that they confiscated and gave me a 160 dollar fine. I have not paid this ticket yet. If I cross the border to enter canada as a passenger, can I be arrested? Also, how long do I have to pay this ticket?

Thanks
Bryan

Answer
Ontario and NY State have reciprical agreements on Traffic offences, so yes you can be stopped at either side of the border and you can also lose points from your NY lic.
I sugest you contact a Ontario Paralegal to assit you , like www.mcrinvestigative.ca
