Canadian Law/Rental Car for accident?

Question
Recently I was in an accident that was of my fault in Alberta. We agreed to not go through insurance and that I would pay for the damages. The person I was in the accident with has asked for a transportation while their vehicle is in the shop and I was wondering if I am legally obligated to oblige?

Answer
As you have made an Agreement outside of Insurance coverage, the legality is based on the agreement.
SO it would be no different than a written contract, if you agreed to provide this then you would have to do so.
However if you resist eh can still report it to  the Insurance companies and make a claim.
