Question I live in Nova Scotia but I got a speeding ticket in Ontario which is written "speeding 55Km/h in a posted 50Km/h zone". I'm wondering if this ticket is going after my insurance rate in Nova Scotia? Another thing is what's the difference between plead guilty and plead guilty with an explanation?
Answer Every traffic conviction has the potential to effect your insurance, however as this is only 5 km over the limit and no points I doubt it will cause you any problems unless you change insurance companies.
as to the guilty with explanation it is there if you have a reasonable explanation to the offense, if it were not for the distance I always recommend fighting all tickets generally there is a reduction if you appear and fight.
