Canadian Politics/Pierre Trudeau

Question
Did Prime Minister Trudeau ever threaten to kick someone's a_s in Parliament.  In late 1970s or early 1980s I seem to remember seeing a news report here in the U.S. I recall that someone said something to anger the PM & he replied "Who said that?  Get him up here, I'll kick his a_s."  I know this was different from the "fuddle duddle" incident from speaking with Canadian friends who remember them as two separate incidents.  Thank you.

Answer
Hi James,

Thanks for your question!

To the best of my knowledge, Trudeau never used that particular phrase in Parliament. He did tell a group of protesters that if they didn't settle down, he'd kick their ass. He also commented on what it was like to be called an asshole by President Nixon.

Hope that helps.
