Question
Forgive me Adam if this is not your domain, but I am intrigued by the relative disparity in global economic (not to mention military) power between the US and Canada. Why is Canada not a global superpower?

Answer
Hello, Mike.

Thank you for your question. There are a number of factors that influenced the rise of the U.S. and the relative stagnation. I will list some of them for you, and if you'd like further clarification, please ask again!

1. Canada's status as a British colony/dominion until 1949.
2. The greater population/market power of the U.S.
3. The military contribution of the U.S. in both World Wars.
4. The priority given to defense spending in the U.S.

I hope that this helps; if  you have other questions, please feel free to ask!
