hi . i live in the us and ive been looking at an recreational site on hunting grounds.is there a limit on how much land a us citizen can buy in onterial? plus ive read on the length a non resisdent can stay which is six months a year .does it matter on what season and could the stay be split up like 3 months for summer and 3 months for winter??

Hi there. My apologies for answering you a bit late...I've been trying to get info from the U.S. Embassy here in Vancouver regarding the non-resident issue.
They've not responded to my calls and email...so I'm going to have to tell you that the non-resident issue is something you will have to check on yourself; go to your local Canadian Embassy, they will have all the current policies on hand.
As to limit on how much land you may buy...no, there is no limit. If you have the money, and you are buying a property for your own personal use, you may buy whatever is offered for sale. As you mentioned you wish to buy land on hunting grounds...I would suggest that you research the rules and regulations surrounding possible hunting limits, before going through with any purchase. I assume you wish to hunt on your land; there are, I believe, limits and bans on hunting, depending on the animal and the season.
