Question
How long does the seller of a property give for the purchaser to fulfill conditions of financing & home inspection?Also is the home not on the market during this period?
Hi Patty,
Thanks very much for your question. Typically we provide five banking days (Sat, Sun and Holidays excluded) for finance and inspection. With some properties ie: country homes, the conditions may be longer.
It's up to you as the home owner to continue to allow showings or not during this time. If you're worried that the deal may not firm up I'd still allow showings - but you can't accept another offer during this period unless its conditional upon your first deal not firming up.
