Canadian Real Estate/condo by-laws

Question
Can a condo make a rule that all owners with dogs have to use the basement entrance and not the main entrance?

Wouldn't this be against the Human Rights Act with respect to family status or something since it is discrimination?

Thanks in advance

Answer
Hi Lori,
Are you a Tenant or Owner of the Condo?
The Condo board will have a board of Directors that can make changes
or have rules changed for the benefit of the Condo Owners.
People that live in the Condo have a vote on who is on the Board.
Do you think it's necessary for everyone with big dirty harry dogs to be marching through the Lobby? Not everyone is going to like to see animals in the Common areas? Allergies etc...
By-laws can be different from one Condo to another.
Some Condo By-laws restrict pets and some have a weight restrictions.
Hope this helps!
