Question What is a the expected amount of a deposit when buying a property?
Answer Hello Tracy,
Here in Calgary where I practice. There is no set amount for a deposit. It is what ever the seller and buyer agree to. For example...in my ten years of experience. I have accepted deposits ranging from 1,000.00 to 25,000.00 dollars. Often, if the buyer has all of their money tied up in their current homes equity and can not afford a large deposit.
