Question Hi Emm-Lisa: I own a house in Maui-Hawaii that would like to sell and would like to give some exposure in the Canada and Seattle markets. It is an impeccable home 4 BD 2.5 BA,two stories in a gated community close to schools, medical facilities and it is surrounded by The Dunes golf course, the lot is 7,535 sqft. and the living space 1,632sqft. built in 2003, it is listed for $785,000. I would appreciate very much your advise. Thank you. Dora
Answer Dora,
My apologies for the delay. Apart from asking your agent to market to other realtors as part of their listing service to you, have them try some free online forms of advertising to ther markets such as Craig's List in Vancouver (http://vancouver.craigslist.org/), Kijiji (http://vancouver.kijiji.ca/), or SellItNow.com (http://www.sellitfreenow.com/). Agent assisted sales are always better received than FBSO online as we are liable for misrepresentation so best if your agent posts for you. There are hundreds more they could post to for free. Since over 85% of Canadian home buyers look online for a home, you would be hitting the right target. Vancouverites LOVE Hawaii, so consider our local newspapers and maagzines too.
As a RE/MAX agent, I am part of a world-wide network and have access to over 119,000 agents and can easily market to their buyers. Talk to your agent and see how far their brokerage reaches...get creative!
