Question I am an American living and working in the United States, I have property in Ontario, fully paid. I want to use this equity. Are there financial institutions in Canada or the United States who would provide either a secured loan using the property as collateral or just as an equity loan? I am having trouble finding such an institution.
Answer Hi Ric,
I have contacted a mortgage broker for you to enquire about this. I was told that hed had done a similar transaction in the past. Apparently it is approved on a case-by-case situation. The best thing would be to contact a mortgage broker to look into this for you.
