Question I am a real estate broker in California. I have a friend in the Calgary area with a home on 400 acres of land that wants me to find a buyer and handle the sale. It would be something a developer would be interested in. I'm not familiar with the laws of Canada with respect to licensing. Any suggestions as to how I can do this and get paid for it?
Answer Hi Jason, licensing I am sure includes living in the province where U hold your active license. We are governed by RECA which is the Real Estate Council of Alberta. Also, depending on the location of the land and opportunity I would be willing to work with you on a very lucrative referral fee.
