Answer I have been asked about King Resources before - there is quite a bit of it floating around. Here is what I have said previously:
"If it is the famous King Resources of John King, then I don't think so. It was sort of the Enron of its day. Rigged accounting and mutual fund investment money that went "missing". It went bankrupt and John King went to prison.
To confirm the value, try taking the certificate to a broker and have them run a detailed search for you. Of course, if you have the certificate, it might be valuable as art to collectors. The certificates of well-known scams tend to have some value on the art market."
