Question Sir,
I do not know anything about the procedures and terminologies of stock exchange, but I have great interest in this field. To be short, I am a beginner. Will you please suggest any book or website?
Answer Shanza, I applaud your efforts to educate yourself about the markets. Too many people jump right in without understanding how the markets work, and inevitably they get burned and lose money. A little understanding goes a long way to helping you make money on your investments.
For beginners, I highly recommend the Wall Street Journal Guide to Understanding Money and Investing. I do this for several reasons. First, it is a very good book for beginners and has stood the test of time. It is not the kind of book that touts the investment method of the moment, but instead gives basic understanding of the markets. Once you finish this book, you can move on to more advanced sources for further education. The book is also inexpensive, and available most everywhere - bookstores, online, even at many libraries.
