Question
Hello: Could you give me some history for Ford of Canada stock certificates? I understand trading stopped in the mid 90s,and people holding Ford of Canada shares redeemed them for a fixed amount. Is this correct?
Thanks

Answer
Michael, I believe that is correct. Ford acquired the remaining Ford of Canada shares they did not already own in late 1995 for $185 per share. Some of the minority holders launched a court battle to get more money, but I don't believe the case went anywhere.
