Subject: Gordon-Daly Grenadier Securities
Question In September 1997 I bought 300 shares in Westhope Capital Corp. from Gordon-Daly Grenadier Securities. I have heard nothing from them in years. What happened to my stocks?

Answer Good question - Gordon-Daly is out of business, but I assume the shares were transferred to another firm.
In this case, I suggest one of two approaches. First, you can contact the Ontario Securities Commission, as they can provide you with the name of the firm that assumed Gordon-Daly's accounts, and hopefully that firm is still in business. Or, you can contact Westhope directly (they are still around) and get the name of their transfer agent. Since the Agent actually maintains the official shareholder list, they will know if you are still the registered owner of your shares and where they may be. The agent is probably where I would start and see what information they can provide.
Westhope's contact information is listed as:
360 Bay Street
Suite 500
Toront, Ontario
M5H 2V6
905 677-2500
The Transfer Agent is listed as Equity Transfer Services Inc. You can find them on the web at:
