My aunt bought 100 shares of Nu-Ridgeway Petro;eums stock in 1959 through the Guaranty Trust Co. in Calgary, Alberta.I have the receipt of sale. Just wondering if any of these companies still exist and are stocks worth anything?

In the early 1960's, it appears the company changed its name to Pere Marquette Petroleums. Pere was slapped with a cease-trade order in 1974, and that order remains in effect today. Therefore, it suggests the company never returned to trading and has no value. Also, there are several certificates for sale online as collectable, which also strongly suggests there is no current value.
