Question
Just trying to determine if old mining stock I inherited has any value....probably not - but thought it might be worth checking.
100 shares Alexander Red Lake Mines, Limited - purchased from JR Stratton & Co Nov 19, 1946
400 shares Pacific Giant Steel Ores Ltd - purchased from The Toronto General Trusts Corp July 31, 1964
1000 shares Oxso Silver Mining & Smelting Co. Ltd - not sure when purchased.

Answer
JoAnne, from the information I have available:

Alexander Red Lake went through a 1 for 10 reverse split before performing a 1 for 25 and becoming Mining %26 Allied Supplies. Those reverses would have taken the original 100 shares below 1 share. Depending on how the splits were handled, it would have left you with either 1 share, or a fractional share which would have been settled with cash (under a dollar). Regardless, the company was acquired in 1998 for $1.40 cash. Not much there either way, unfortunately.

Pacific Giant had its charter cancelled in 1998 - no value for common shareholders.

I have no information at all on Oxso Silver. I suggest you might contact a broker and see if they can perform a more detailed search for you.
