Question
I have old stock in Vulcan Containers (Canada) LTD
Where can I find a rough value of these.

Answer
Kent, Vulcan went through at least 2 name changes before becoming Vulcan Packaging. Vulcan was acquired in 1988 by R%26M Metal for $3.70 per share cash. Chances are you received a check for the shares back in 1988. If not, the cash would have been turned over to the government for safekeeping. That money might still be available (depends on which government holds it - they all have different time periods for holding lost funds). You need to check with every State or Province in which you lived from the time the certificate was issued until the buyout. You can search many of them online for free at www.naupa.org and www.missingmoney.com (check both - they each have different lists of participating States and Provinces).
