Question
I have found 300 shares of Highland Valley Mining Corp stock purchased in 1962 by my Father,  Can someone tell me if these have any value?

From the information I have available, the company did at least 2 reverse splits (a 1 for 20, then a 1 for 2.5) which would have reduced the number of shares on that certificate to just 6. In 1975, it amalgamated into Great Manhattan Gold. Unfortunately, I have no idea what became of Great Manhattan. Therefore, I suggest you contact a broker who can perform a more detailed search for you.
