I have 1000 shares in Kewagama Gold Mines (Quebec) Limited, issued October 22, 1983. Authorized capital of 5 million dollars divided into 5 million shares of the par value of $1 each.

Susan, from the information I have available, the company changed its name to KWG Resources. KWG is still around - it trades on the TSX Venture for 7 cents per share. You need to contact the current transfer agent, Computershare (www.computershare.com) to confirm this information and, if the certificate is valid, to have it reorganized into the new shares.
