QuestionI have old Share Certificates for Gold Patch Resources Ltd., Aurlot Explorations Ltd.,Torogold Resources Inc., Cadington Resources Ltd.,Fire River Gold Corp. and Fiedmont Resources Ltd. Please advise if these companies still exist or have changed names and what are my options as to what to do with them.
Thank you.
AnswerBarbara, from the information I have available:
Goldpatch changed names several times and had at least one reverse stock split (a 1 for 3). The company is now Karmen Exploration, which trades on the TSX Venture for about 24 cents per share. You need to contact the current transfer agent, Computershare (www.computershare.com) to get the old shares reorganized into new shares.
Aurlot also went through numerous name changes and is now Canada Lithium. The Company trades for 51 cents per share on the TSX Venture. The current transfer agent is Equity Transfer (www.equitytransfer.com).
Torogold had at least 2 reverse splits (a 1 for 10 followed by another 1 for 10) and is now Red Dragon. It trades for about 40 cents on the TSX Venture. Its agent is also Computershare.
Cadington went through 2 reverse splits (a 1 for 6, then a 1 for 10) and is now Iberian Minerals. It trades on the TSX Venture for about 56 cents per share. Its agent is also Equity Transfer.
Fire River did a 1 for 4 reverse and became Kingly Enterprises. They went private by doing a 1 for 2000 reverse split. Shareholders with less than 1 new share post-split received 5 cents per pre-reverse share. The agent for the buyout was also Equity Transfer.
Fiedmont went through numerous name changes and splits (a 1 for 5 reverse, then a 2 for 1 forward, then a 1 for 4 reverse, then a 1 for 10 reverse) and became RMM Ventures. It appears RMM may have merged into Powercomm, which I believe trades on the TSX for about 27 cents per share. The agent for Powercomm is Olympia Trust, who you can contact at www.olympiatrust.com.
