My mother has a certificate for 500 shares of Apex Consolidated Resources Limited stock dated 1/3/49.  I cannot find any references to this company on the internet.  The transfer agent was Guaranty Trust Company of Canada, Toronto.  Does this company exist today under another name and might it have value?  Thank you!

Unfortunately, from the information I have available, the shares have no value. The Company changed its name twice and went through two substantial reverse stock splits before becoming Abacon Developments. That company had its charter cancelled in 1967, which is what happens when a company fails to file its required financial statements and regulatory documents for several years in row, usually because they are already out of business.
