Question
Hi,

I have found an older stock certificate on the death of a family member from Bateman Bay Mining Company with the Transfer Agent listed as the Eastern Trust Company (Montreal, Toronto, Calgary), dated August 24, 1956.

Does this still have any value?

Any help would be appreciated.

Answer
Unfortunately, from the information I have available, it appears the shares have no current value. The Company ran into financial trouble, was cease-traded, then delisted by the Montreal Stock Exchange in the early 1990's. That cease-trade order remains in effect, and I can find nothing which suggests the company was ever revived.
