Question
I recently came across a certificate for "AMEREL MINING COMPANY LIMITED" countersigned by the transfer agent and registrar Guaranty Trust Company of Canada, Toronto   dated  Nov.8, 1963. Can you tell me what happened to the assets or anything else there is to know about this company.  Thank you,  Boe

Answer
From the information I have available, the Company sold its assets to Twentieth Century Exploration on the basis of 1 share of Twentieth Century for every 20 shares of Amerel. Twentieth Century later did a 1 for 5 reverse split and became Minefinders. Minefinders is still around - it trades on the TSX for about $10.50 a share.

You need to contact Minefinders' transfer agent, Computershare #www.computershare.com# to determine of the certificate is valid and, if so, how to get it reorganized.
