Question
hello, I have a bond issued to me a long time ago probablly from the 70"s it is for 2000 shares of ALLEGHENEY mining and exploration co.limited registerd with Guaranty trust company of canada their is no sussip # just a 4 digit # in the left hand corner is this still good ,does the company still exist and is this worth anything please help icant get any answers

Answer
Unfortunately, from the information I have available, those shares have no value. Allegheney had its charter cancelled in 1973, which is what happens when a company fails to file its required financial information (and pay its taxes and fees), which is usually because they are already out of business.
