Question
I have an old stock certificate dated April 23, 1934 that belonged to my grandfather.  The name of the company is Longlar Lagoon Gold Mines, Limited.  Can you tell me if that company is still in operation or if this certificate has any value?  Thanks so much for any info you can give me.

Answer
Unfortunately, I have no information on that company, although it pre-dates most of the information I have available. If there is a transfer agent listed on the certificate, I would try contacting them first. You could also try the Province of Incorporation and see what information they have on file. However, considering the great age of the certificate, your best approach is probably to contact a broker and see if they can perform a more detailed search for you.
