Canadian Stocks/Old Stocks

Question
I came across 2 old stock certificates, & cannot find any info on either. These are back from 1971. Portfield Petroleums Ltd., & Broad Scope Developements Ltd. Bought from Norwich who can't seem to find any info on them, also nothing on Google. Have you come across either, & are they worth anything, or just garbage?

Answer
Unfortunately, from the information I have available, it appears neither certificate has any value.

Portfield went through several name changes and reverse stock splits and became Canmine Resources. In 2003, Canmine went bankrupt and into receivership. I don't believe there was any value for common shareholders.

Broad Scope did a reverse split and changed its name to Newore Developments. Newore was dissolved in the 1970's, and I don't believe there was any value for shareholders.
