Question
I bouth 500 Raleigh Mineral Ltd shares in 1974 from J. Appleby Securities Ltd.  Are they worth anything today?

Unfortunately, from the information I have available, it appears the shares have no current value.

Raleigh went through numerous name changes and 3 reverse stock splits (a 1 for 2.5, then a 1 for 5, then another 1 for 5) and ended up as First Strike Diamonds. First Strike ran into financial trouble and was delisted in 2003, after being slapped with several cease-trade orders, all of which are still in effect. There is no current market for the shares.
