Question
I have stock certificates of Paramount Petroleum & Mineral Corporation Ltd. incorporated in the province of Saskatchewan dated May 17 1957 &December 21 1959. Any help with phone #s or value or anything will be appreciated.

Answer
John, Paramount went through numerous name changes and alterations of capital. It did a 1 for 4 reverse stock split, then a 1 for 7.7 reverse stock split, then a 1.5 for 1 forward stock split. It eventually became MFC Bancorp, which later became KHD Humboldt Wedag International. KHD trades on the New York Stock Exchange for about $7.50 a share.

You will need to contact KHD's Transfer Agent to determine if your Paramount shares are valid and, if so, obtain the new KHD shares. I believe the agent is Royal Trust (www.rbc.com), or contact KHD through their website, http://www.humboldt-wedag.com
