Are these shares of any value ??  Thankyou.

Neville, from the information I have available, it appears there may be some value. Emerald Lake became Summit Exploration after a 1 for 5 reverse split, then later amalgamated with another company on the basis of 2 new for 3 old shares and became Sumtra Diversified Inc. Sumtra is still around - it trades on the NEX Board for about 5 cents per share. However, back in 2004, they did declare a Special Dividend of 26 cents per share.

You need to contact Sumtra's transfer agent, Equity Transfer, who you can find at www.equitytransfer.com, about reorganizing the old shares and possibly finding where the cash dividend is.
