Have certificate for shares of Fargo Oils Ltd. Canada. Try as I may I have not been able to determine the disposition of this company. It appears to have operated 1961 - 1967 and merged in 1968 with Oil Reserve and Gas CO. I hit a dead end right there. Another lead said it was purchased by Getty Oil. Can you help me? Txs

Alvin, the information I have available indicates you are correct in regards to the merger with Reserve Oil and Gas. That was in 1968, and was on the basis of 43 new shares for every 100 Fargo shares. I believe Reserve Oil was a US company, and I don't have any information on the past history of US companies. Therefore, I suggest you contact a US broker who can help you trace the company from 1968 onward.
