Question
Hello Steven,

I recently found an old stock certificate that belonged to my great-grandfather. The company on the stock certificate is Quebec Barlow Gold Mines Limited.

The only other information I have is that the company was incorporated in 1937. I have been unable to find a trace of this company anywhere on the internet.

Any help in tracking down what has become of this company is greatly appreciated, thank you.

Answer
Craig, unfortunately, I have no information on Quebec Barlow either. 1937 does pre-date most of the information I have available, though.

If you can find a transfer agent listed on the certificate, you can inquire with them, although considering the long time since the certificate was issued, that is a very long shot. You could also contact the Province of Incorporation (also listed on the certificate) and see what information they have available. Also, you could take the certificate to a broker and see if they can perform a more detailed search on your behalf.
