Question
Hi,

I had some worthless stock for Newstar Resources which went belly up in 1999. I know I saw the link somewhere on your site, but can't find it now - how do I get the form which I can use to claim a capital loss for 1999?

Thanks in advance.
Jack

Answer
Jack, I am not an expert on tax issues. This is a little unusual as you want to go back 10 years to a loss for 1999, and I am not sure what the rules on that currently are. I suggest you review the Canada Revenue site for help, or consult a tax professional.

Sorry I could not be of more help, but if I guessed and gave you a wrong answer it would likely cause you significant problems down the road. Better to consult a more reliable source on tax issues than me.
